Though my childhood was not ideal, I wouldn't change a thing. God has equipped you with the tools necessary to guide your son, which is why you were chosen to be his mother. He is listening, learning, and growing in many more ways than the eyes can behold, so I hope that you will take solace in that. Thanks for making me feel as if my words actually mean something! How true that the challenges we want most to keep our children from are the very things that are shaping their character - just like us on the outside looking in at times. In addition to praying that my son will finally grow (he is 3 years behind his peers growth wise), I will also pray that the Lord will use this challenge to mold him into the man he will become. Names that are rare are beautiful make those blessed with them stand out. No one truly sees the flower that grows on the side of the road, or the stone that can be found in the backyard.
